Pon Lok does a good business, but it has received mixed reviews about the quality of their food, as well as the price. Nonetheless, Pon Lok is a good place to try local delicacies in a friendly atmosphere. The staff speak reasonable English to advise you on your menu, from whole steamed fish to Chinese-influenced favorites such as sweet-and-sour chicken. This upstairs restaurant is blessed with one of town’s best views over the Tonle Sap River. Inside, white tiles predominate under whirling ceiling fans.
Formerly, named “Ponlok”, P& K is the new Ponlok, owned and operated by the youngest sibling of the family. The restaurant continues to serve the same Khmer, Chinese and Thai cuisines as it did under the previous name. If you’re looking for delicious traditional Khmer food and some exotic local delicacies such as cow tongue and/or tripe with fermented fish sauce dip, look no further!
